Unknown malefactors continue to rape and claim lives in the city of Beira. Residents of the Manga Mascarenhas neighbourhood woke up to yet more sad news, after the body of a 26-year-old woman was found in the unfinished house where she lived.
Neighbours and residents report that the woman’s body was unrecognisable due to the blows it had suffered, and that the young woman was skewered by a sharp object in the belly, leading them to believe that those responsible really meant to kill her.
Manga Mascarenhas residents are apprehensive about the escalating crime wave, not knowing who will be the next victim or what could happen tomorrow, and are appealing to those who are charged with watching over their safety.
