Mozambique wins bronze at African Judo Open in Senegal

Two Mozambican judokas won bronze medals at the 4th African Judo Open, which took place on November 15 in Dakar, Senegal.
The Mozambican athletes who occupied the third podium position in Dakar are Keven Loforte and Jacira Ferreira, in the 66 kg and 52 kg categories respectively.
The achievements earned the athletes points in the race to qualify for the 2021 Olympic Games in Tokyo, Japan.
Mozambican judoka Aiton Siquir also participated in the tournament in the 73 kg category, and finished the competition in fifth place.
The three athletes will next compete in the 2020 African Judo Championships in Rabbat, Morocco, from 24 to 30 November.
