Mozambique: Nampula residents announce peaceful demonstration against fuel crisis

This Thursday, the construction began of 200 residences for the resettlement of an equal number of families in the village of Nhamitsatsi in Moatize district, Tete province.
The homes are for families who currently live in areas covered by the mineral coal project led by multinational Vulcan Mozambique.
Construction, at a value not publicly revealed, is estimated to last twelve months, according to Vulcan Mozambique representative Leonardo Xerinda.
After laying the first stone, Secretary of State for Tete Elisa Zacarias called on Vulcan to comply with the deadline for handing over the residences to families, as well as those regarding their build quality.
