Mozambique: UN Under-Secretary General for Safety and Security visits

The Government of Mozambique and the United Nations will be discussing the protection and security of citizens in the context of a six-day visit by UN Under-Secretary General for Protection and Security, Gilles Michaud, which includes a visit to Cabo Delgado province.
Minister of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation Verónica Macamo said during a meeting with Michaud that the visit would be an opportunity to showcase the efforts being made in Mozambique to guarantee the safety of the population.
Under-Secretary Gilles Michaud said that he was coming to the country to learn about the security situation of citizens and UN personnel providing humanitarian assistance.
