Two citizens are being held at the District Command of the Police of the Republic of Mozambique (PRM) in Macate district, Manica province, accused of aggravated manslaughter and trafficking in human organs.
The two men, one the employer of the other, on Wednesday night murdered a drunk citizen on a public highway.
After killing the man, they removed some of his organs, possibly for the practice of sorcery.
The boss owns a chain of mills in Macate district and other parts of Manica province.
AIM cites Manica PRM spokesman Mateus Mindu as saying this Thursday that the suspects were caught in possession of parts of the victim’s body.
