Mozambique: FATF to visit in September to discuss leaving 'grey list'

The Ministry of State Administration and Civil Service (MAEFP) says that it is now technically possible to start withholding at source those wages improperly processed within the scope of the implementation of the Single Salary Table (TSU).
“Naturally, some situations are subject to correction, for the soon-to-start dossier of the wage truth replacement process, resulting from alleged errors during the implementation of the Single Salary Table (TSU),” for civil servants and state agents, said the national director of Information and Communication Technologies at MAEFP, Feliciano Chavana.
Speaking a few days ago in Quelimane, Zambézia province, at the end of the Forum of State Human Resource Managers, extended to Permanent District Secretaries, Feliciano Chavana did not advance the numbers to be captured.
“If there is room for accountability based on the reasons for the occurrence of errors,” Chavana said, “then the government will exercise the right not only to recover state funds that were misused, but above all to discourage the practice of these actions, which are harmful to the entire process management.”
