Mozambique aims to cut unemployment rate to 17% by 2029

The government will start making retroactive payments due under the implementation of the Single Salary Table (TSU) this month of November.
The guarantee was given by the Deputy Minister of Economy and Finance, Carla Louveira, in the usual media briefing at the end of the 39th session of the Council of Ministers, at which she also promised that the government would safeguard subsidies to different professional groups.
Also on Wednesday (16-11), Deputy Minister of State Administration and Civil Service Inocêncio Impissa promised that the government would, in the implementation of the TSU, preserve reasonableness and proportionality regarding functions of management, leadership and trust and professional careers.
Deputy Minister Impissa reiterated that the TSU implementation framework commission remained open for the purposes of clarifying all cases hinging on the process.
