Mozambique: Tropical low will affect some provinces – INAM

A new low atmospheric pressure system has formed south of the Mozambique Channel, near the coast of Madagascar.
The National Institute of Meteorology (INAM) indicates that the system could evolve into a moderate tropical storm in the next 48 hours, potentially influencing temperatures in the provinces of Inhambane and Sofala.
The weather system will cause moderate to very heavy rainfall in the provinces of Zambézia, in the Center, and Nampula, Cabo Delgado and Niassa, in the North.
“INAM continues to monitor the evolution of this system and appeals to the population to continue following meteorological information and warnings disseminated by the competent national authorities,” the meteorologists write.
