Mozambique’s Transport and Communications Development Fund (FTC) must be restructured to fully comply with the purposes for which it was created, Transport and Communications Minister Janfar Abdulai said at the wearing-in into office of new members of the FTC Management Board staff.
The new members are Cachimo Assane, who assumes the position of Director of Planning Service, and Andrieta Matavel, Deputy Director of the Administration and Finance Service.
Janfar Abdulai reminded them that the FTC should not function as a Ministry of Transport and Communications financial department, limited to receiving and executing budget allocations from the state, but should work as a robust financial institution, capable of generating resources to finance strategic sector projects, the mission entrusted to the body at its creation in 2010.
The Minister of Transport and Communications also swore into office Clara Albano as head of the Human Resources Department at the National Institute of Hydrography and Navigation (INAHINA).
