Avenida de Moçambique in Maputo city will once again see circulation restricted for another 30 days, at the intersection between São Paulo and São Pedro streets, in Bairro 25 de Junho, to make possible a second phase of rainwater run-off pipe laying.
The first closure was on the northbound carriageway. Now, the south-bound lane will be restricted.
The National Roads Administration (ANE) says it is aware of the inconvenience caused.
The ANE is spending 50 million meticais in a campaign which will also see rainwater drainage at other problematic points on Avenida de Moçambique improved.
Road users are asked to seek alternative routes, to avoid congestion at the intersection between Avenida de Moçambique and Ruas São Paulo and São Pedro, in the 25 de Junho neighbourhood.
