Mozambique will export electricity generated from Inhambane province gas to countries in the Southern African region from 2025.
This is the Temane power plant, the construction of which is progressing at a satisfactory pace, in compliance with international standards in the energy sector.
In addition to exporting to neighbouring countries, the energy to be produced in the province of Inhambane will also supply the national market for various categories of customers.
The guarantee was given by the Minister of Mineral Resources and Energy, Carlos Zacarias, during the visit made by the President of Botswana to the Cahora Bassa Hydroelectric Plant in the town of Songo, Tete province, this Thursday.
