Mozambique TM 315 flies back to Pemba – LAM

Passengers on this flight told Club of Mozambique that the LAM pilots did an excellent job today.

Adrian Frey, Chairman of Beluluane Industrial Park was among the passengers in this plane. “It was scary of course, I was impressed by how strong the passengers were, in the way they reacted. Many were holding other people hands and praying to their gods. The pilots , though, are the real heroes: in a cockpit with no window, at 800 km /hour, they made a fantastic example of the resilience of our people. They brought the plane under control and landed it safely. All passengers were clapping in great appreciation as we touched ground”.

LAM – Linhas Aéreas de Moçambique announces that the aircraft on flight TM 315, on the Pemba/Maputo route, today, June 9, 2021, returned to its origins after verifying that one of the front [cockpit] windows became de-laminated [detached].

The incident took place while the flight, departing from Pemba at 1h47m p,m, was taking place.

In view of the occurrence, the crew made the decision to fly the aircraft back to Pemba Airport, where it landed safely at 3h02m p.m. and the passengers, including the crew, disembarked normally.

At the moment, steps are being taken to send a team of mechanics to Pemba to replace the glass.

As foreseen for such situations, passengers will be accommodated while the flight rescheduling is evaluated.

A LAM – Linhas Aéreas de Moçambique comunica que a aeronave do voo TM 315, do percurso Pemba/Maputo, de hoje, dia 9 de Junho de 2021, retomou à proveniência após se constatar que um dos vidros frontais ficou delaminado.

O incidente deu-se enquanto decorria o voo que partiu de Pemba às 13:47 horas.

Em face da ocorrência, a tripulação tomou a decisão de retornar a aeronave ao Aeroporto de Pemba, onde aterrou em segurança às 15:02 horas e os passageiros, incluindo a tripulação desembarcaram normalmente.

Neste momento, decorrem providências para deslocar à Pemba uma equipa de mecânicos que procederá a substituição do vidro.

Conforme o previsto para situações do género, os passageiros serão acomodados, enquanto se avalia a reprogramação do voo.
