Three people were killed and 45 injured in a road accident in the Muriaze area of the Anchilo administrative post in Nampula district, Nampula province, on Monday, Radio Mozambique reports.
The accident involved a semi-collective passenger vehicle which went off the road while heading towards Angoche district.
The emergency department director at Nampula Central Hospital, Marcelo Baquemane, said that, of the 45 patients admitted, one lost his life after arriving at the hospital, and two more were taken directly to the hospital morgue.
Baquemane said that all inpatients were out of danger, although one was still receiving intensive care.
