Mozambique: Three dead bodies found in Macomia district – Lusa

Three dead bodies, showing signs of having been beheaded, have been found in Macomia district, with family members attributing the incident to the armed group ravaging the Mozambican province of Cabo Delgado.
The bodies were found on the banks of the Messalo river by family members, after being missing for three days.
“We started looking for them the day before yesterday, Thursday, and this morning [Saturday] we discovered them on the banks of the Messalo river, on the other side of Macomia,” said the niece of one of the victims, speaking from Muidumbe.
The three bodies showed signs of having been beheaded, which the family blame on the armed group ravaging the province.
“The three were beheaded, and we know that terrorists are circulating there, so there is no doubt that this is yet another crime committed by them,” said another source, also speaking from Muidumbe.
The three men were from the Mandela community in Muidumbe district, and were small farmers and fishermen on the Messalo river.
