Mozambique: The exhibition “Remembering Master Malangatana” opens this Tuesday at the BCI Auditorium, in Maputo

Maputo hosts, this Tuesday, an exhibition in homage to the painter Malangatana Valente Nguenha, one of the greatest exponents of the visual arts in Mozambique.
The opening of the exhibition, called “Remembering Master Malangatana”, will be in the BCI Auditorium, at 5 pm.
The exhibition, curated by artist Jorge Dias, aims to celebrate the artistic and cultural legacy of Malangatana, recognized worldwide for his work that portrayed Mozambican identity, history and culture.
The exhibition brings together a selection of works that reflect the depth and innovation that marked the career of master Malangatana, whose art transcended borders and became a symbol of contemporary African art.
