Strong winds collapsed several tents sheltering resettled flood victims in Boane, leaving them exposed to the cold and rain.
The victims endured a sleepless night and have little hope of what the next few hours will brings. Their belongings are wet, leaving them vulnerable.
As long as the tents are not replaced, the only alternative is to spend the night in a communal tent.
The displaced are asking the government for help building houses, but the head of the Gueguegue locality told our reporter that at the moment there is no support in sight.
Those resettled have already been in the area for three months and complain about the lack of safe drinking water. Nearly 50 families are resettled in the area.
