Mozambique: Meet the 18 members of the Technical Committee for the Inclusive Political Dialogue

Parliamentary Speaker Verónica Macamo Dlhovo will be representing Mozambique at the annual conference of speakers of African parliaments in the South African city of Midrand from 4 to 6 August.
The event is subtitled: “From Adoption to Ratification of the African Union Treaties, with a focus on the Revised Protocol of Pan-African Parliament: Advantages to Africa.”
According to AIM, Dlhovo, as a member of the pan-African parliament and the rules and discipline committee of the African Union commission, will participate in the meetings of her specialty group, as well as the Southern African regional meeting to be held from Monday on to prepare for the meeting of the speakers and the Association of General Secretaries of African Parliaments on Wednesday.
At the meeting, the general secretaries will assess progress made in the development of strategies for the ratification of AU treaties, especially the new Pan-African Parliament Protocol adopted in 2014 in Malabo, Equatorial Guinea by the heads of state and governments.
According to a press release from the Mozambican parliament that AIM has access to, the event will also provide an opportunity for the establishment of association bodies, following the adoption of its constitution in August 2015.
