Mozambique: Suspected kidnapper arrested in Sofala

Another alleged kidnapper has been detained by the National Criminal Investigation Service (SERNIC) in Sofala.
The arrest brings the number of suspects captured by SERNIC in Sofala in less than a year to eight.
SERNIC spokesperson Alfeu Sitoe said that the detainee was captured while trying to join his group to orchestrate yet another kidnapping.
The 40-year-old suspect, detained under an arrest warrant issued by the provincial judicial court, denies being part of the gang but admits to having received money from a source unknown to him.
