Libya: LAIP restores and resumes rice farming project in Mozambique

The culling of 35,000 laying hens began on Wednesday (18) in a poultry farm located in Morrumbene district, Inhambane province, where a case of avian influenza was detected in birds recently imported from the South African province of North West.
Since yesterday, technicians from the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development have been working in Morrumbene to monitor the situation and monitor the operation.
The information was confirmed to “Notícias” by Américo Conceição, national director of Livestock Development.
To date, 13,000 laying hens have been culled and buried in the district of Morrumbene.
