Mozambique’s National Criminal Investigation Service (SERNIC) is to have a special Interpol office to facilitate collaboration with the international police force in combating transnational crimes.
This innovation is included in the proposed new SERNIC law being submitted to the national assembly.
The information was shared on Tuesday by the spokesperson for the Council of Ministers, Filimão Suázi, at the conclusion of that body’s tenth regular session. The cabinet also reviewed the resolution ratifying the partnership agreement between the Organization of African, Caribbean, and Pacific States and the European Union, which is also to be submitted to parliament
