Last Friday, the 14-day quarantine period came to an end for six foreign citizens who entered Mozambique on February 13, and they will be able to move around freely.
The citizens, five Chinese and one Korean, despite having already undergone 14 days’ quarantine in their countries of origin, were screened again on arrival at Nampula International Airport on the 13th of this month.
As a preventative measure, they were asked to submit to a further 14-day quarantine period, although in separate places.
The citizen of Chinese origin seen in the video below is one of the six who, since last Friday, have been able to once again circulate at will. The citizen of Korean origin, who has been accompanied by both colleagues and health personnel since his arrival, also says he has completed the quarantine period in full.
Since the beginning of the screening of travellers entering Mozambique via Nampula International Airport, the health sector there says it has tested more than 800 people.
