The owner of a shoe store located in Maputo city’s ‘Baixa’ [Central Business District] was kidnapped on Wednesday. However, the kidnappers have not yet spoken, witnesses cited by Miramar TV said.
Armed with an AKM, the so far unknown individuals reportedly approached the shoe store seen in the video below at around 6 p.m. on Wednesday, apparently with the lesson well studied.
After another workday, the businessman identified only as Mohamed was moving to his car after closing the shop when the kidnappers arrived, got out, grabbed him and took him into their getaway car, a eyewitness tells Miramar.
The firearm facilitated the action of the criminals, Miramar reports.
On Thursday, customers were looking at the shop window and bumping into closed doors. This is the second kidnapping in the last three months in Maputo city. Police said they have not yet received any complaints about the case.
