Mozambique: LAM reports second bird strike in just over a week

The National Migration Service, SENAMI says that everything is ready to satisfy health requirements when Mozambique’s borders with South Africa reopen, Radio Mozambique reports.
SENAMI spokesman, Celestino Matsinhe, offered the guarantee at a press conference in Maputo this Thursday, adding that there had been an increase in requests for foreign residence documents (DIRE) in the past week.
In the period in question, more than 1,050 requests concerning DIREs were submitted, against 442 in the same period in 2019.
Last week, 372 Mozambican nationals were deported to Mozambique from South Africa and the Kingdom of eSwatini for various offences.
