Mozambican businessman Salimo Abdula is the new chairman of the board of directors of Vodafone M-Pesa. The official announcement will be made in Maputo next Monday (13-05).
A note from Vodafone M-Pesa indicates that “with extensive experience and a proven track record of strategic leadership, Salimo Abdula takes over the leadership of M-Pesa in a key period of expansion and innovation in the mobile financial services market. His strategic vision will drive the implementation of innovative solutions, capable of responding to the needs and constant evolution of the digital financial market in Mozambique”.
Salimo Abdula is a Mozambican businessman and founded the Intelec Holdings Group. He has served as president of the CPLP Business Confederation (CE-CPLP) and of the Confederation of Economic Associations of Mozambique (CTA), and was also chairman of Vodacom Mozambique.
