The Police of the Republic of Mozambique (PRM) expelled 206 members from January to September this year, Commander-General Bernardino Rafael revealed at the end of the corporation’s 20th Coordinating Council on Friday.
Unsatisfactory conduct had dictated their departure from the ranks of the corporation, he said.
“Three hundred and twenty-six colleagues were prosecuted for involvement in various disciplinary issues and even criminal acts. After exhaustive analysis, 206 members of the police were expelled from the corporation for conduct deviating from police norms. We will continue to educate our colleagues. As for those who resist our education, we will have no alternative but to remove them from the corporation, because they are harmful to our organisation, which is the Police of the Republic of Mozambique,” he said.
