The Mozambican authorities issued the statement following the death of 13 people, serious injuries to three and light injuries to two, due to a collision between a passenger bus and a goods truck, on Friday in Maluana, Manhiça district, Maputo province.
The statement noted that “those responsible should be held accountable,” because the country “cannot continue to passively watch this type of accident, as if it were something normal.
The government, it said, was committed to changing the situation “as soon as possible.
