The City Forum movement, in partnership with the Maputo Municipal Council and with the support of the MASC Foundation, will hold a round table on the 19th on the theme: “City of Maputo: Possible Contributions to Solving Challenges and Problems”.
It is a dialogue platform that will bring together residents and various civil society organizations to foster dialogue and collaboration between citizens and municipal authorities, indicates a note in possession of “Notícias Online”.
The document says that the initiative aims to create a space for debating ideas and concrete actions that contribute to resolving the challenges that the city of Maputo still faces.
During the event, proposals prepared by the City Forum will be presented, which aim to improve the quality of life of residents of the capital of Maputo, says the text.
The round table includes discussion panels focused on eight key areas, identified in studies carried out between 2014 and 2024, namely: Territorial Planning, Parks, Trees and Recreational Gardens, Traffic, Informal Commerce, Solid Waste, Urban Mobility, Noise Pollution and Municipality Communication.
The City Forum is a movement created with the aim of identifying and reporting problems associated with municipal management, as well as developing solutions from the residents’ perspective.
Created by Maputo residents in 2014, it promotes free and responsible expression, encouraging the active participation of citizens in the sustainable development of the city.
