Mozambique’s National Institute of Meteorology (INAM) says that reports on social media suggesting a possible cold snap in the next 30 days are incorrect.
Such information implies the occurrence of what is called an ‘aphelion’, characterised by intense cold, from today until the 22nd of August.
Meteorologist Manuel Francisco told Rádio Moçambique that this information was false, and was not included in INAM’s weather forecast charts.
