Health authorities on Thursday reported 11 new suspected cases of mpox, bringing the cumulative number of notifications since July 11th to 143.
Of the new 11 suspected cases reported, five were registered in Manica, and one each in Niassa and Cabo Delgado.
Six samples were tested, but no new positives were confirmed, leaving the total number of confirmed mpox cases at 17.
Two patients completed the 21-day follow-up and were discharged, bringing the total number of recoveries to two.
Currently, 65 contacts remain under active surveillance.
The disease has not caused any deaths to date, and the case fatality rate remains at zero percent.
