In order to evaluate the process of allocating production areas to 606 families affected in the resettlement process in Vila de Quitunda, Palma district, Governor of Cabo Delgado Province Valige Tauabo has chaired a meeting involving all members of the Resettlement Committee.
At the meeting in Vila de Quitunda on Sunday (17-12), Governor Tauabo called for greater speed and collaboration between the parties involved and the resettled communities, so that the process of allocating plots of land for the practice of agricultural production activities might run smoothly.
The Resettlement Committee reported that the production areas have already been identified, and that the process of handing over Land Use and Benefit Rights (DUAT) to beneficiary families will begin in the next few days.
The District Resettlement Committee includes community leadership, TotalEnergies, district representatives and the provincial government.
