Mozambique: Traders threaten to increase the price of coconuts
Businessman Hussein Ali Ahmad, who founded Premier Group more than 20 years ago and turned it into one of Mozambique’s leading retailers, has passed away, the company announced yesterday.
“We inform everyone, with deep regret that all our shops are closed due to the death of Mr. Hussein Ali Ahmad, the leader and soul of this company,” the statement by Premier SuperSpar reads.
“We ask for understanding in this difficult time. Please see our social media for information about the summary of activities.,” it concludes.
Premier Group is the holding company of various businesses in Mozambique, including the Premier Superspar, Maputo Fresh Market, and Fantazia retail and wholesale stores.
Hussein Ali Ahmad was 63 years old. He founded Premier Group in 2002.
