The Confederation of Economic Associations of Mozambique (CTA) is facilitating the establishment of partnerships with the Indian business community, and Rogério Manuel, president of CTA, has met with the High Commissioner of India in Maputo, Rudra Gaurav Shresth, to prepare the visit of Prime Minister Narendra Modi to Mozambique on Thursday July 7.
“We believe, as always, that with the involvement of the CTA and the Investment Promotion Centre, partnerships will be established between business people, initiating the formation of joint ventures between Mozambicans and Indians,” he said.
After the meeting, the president of the CTA said that, among other items on the agenda, a business seminar bringing together Mozambican businessmen and the Indian business delegation that will accompany the prime minister to identify business opportunities was discussed.
Gaurav Shresth identified infrastructure, gas, coal and agriculture as fruitful areas for a Mozambique-India Business Forum to examine.
