President of the Republic Filipe Nyusi was working in Tete this Friday (19-08).
The head of state guided a meeting of the State Representative and Provincial Executive Councils in Tete.
Filipe Nyusi was accompanied by Deputy Minister of State Administration and Civil Service, Inocêncio Impissa, members of staff from the Presidency of the Republic and of other state institutions.
It is recalled that the President yesterday afternoon inaugurated a factory for extracting and refining cooking oil in Cuamba, Niassa province.
The plant has a capacity to extract 7,500 tons of raw oil per year, refining 3,000 tons to supply the domestic market.
Filipe Nyusi said on the occasion that the start-up of this enterprise would mitigate cooking oil imports, allowing the money saved to be invested in other areas.
