Mozambican president announces civil society participation in discussions on state reforms

The President of the Republic, Filipe Jacinto Nyusi, is on a working visit to the province of Cabo Delgado today, August 3, 2023, during which he will inaugurate a bank branch in the district of Palma, an act that marks the formal return of financial services as part of the recovery of public infrastructure in the district.
The head of state’s arrival in Cabo Delgado takes place this morning after having inaugurated the electricity network at the administrative post of Chinga, in Murrupula district, Nampula province.
President Nyusi said on the occasion that the enterprise would leverage productive activities, with an emphasis on agro-processing, small industries, health, education and water supply, and other public services.
“This infrastructure, with regular maintenance, should have a prolonged useful life, in order to attract greater investments (…), which are likely to generate jobs for young people, enabling them to obtain income and the consequent well-being of the population of Chinga,” Nyusi emphasised.
