South Africa, Mozambique to bolster security measures at border

President Filipe Nyusi starts today a three-day visit to Brussels to meet European Union (EU) leaders.
“The purpose of the Head of State’s visit is to strengthen political-diplomatic and economic-trade cooperation relations between Mozambique and the EU,” the Mozambican Presidency announces in a statement.
During his stay in Brussels, President Nyusi will hold meetings with the president of the European Council [Charles Mitchel] with an [unnamed] vice-president of the European Commission, and with the EU Commissioners responsible for international partnerships and for humanitarian crisis management.
The Mozambican delegation also includes the Minister of Mineral Resources and Energy, Max Tonela, and the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation, Manuel Gonçalves.
