The President of the Republic, Daniel Chapo, promises to continue working to resolve the problems that community leaders face in carrying out their work in the communities.
Speaking today at the opening of the meeting with community and religious leaders in the city of Pemba, Daniel Chapo said that the problems related to allowances, uniforms and means of transportation were a concern of his government and must be overcome.
The head of state showed his openness to dialogue and listening to ideas from community leaders and the population for the progress of the country.
“Our community leaders have very large areas in which they are taking care of our population. Also allowances in the event of death, the issue related to transportation to be able to do the work [need to be addressed]” the president conceded.
“These and many other concerns that we are already aware of and are working on. But there may be others. Our influential people, including our religious leaders, may have some concerns or suggestions that can help us,” the head of state proposed.
