The President of the Republic of Mozambique, Daniel Chapo, visited the Navy’s Naval Base in Pemba, Cabo Delgado province, this Wednesday.
The main objective of the Head of State’s visit was to assess the level of readiness of the Defence and Security Forces (FDS) in the current context of challenges to national security.
During the visit, the President toured several areas of the naval base, where he received detailed information on the operation of the facilities, the resources available and the operational status of the troops.
Accompanied by senior military commanders, Daniel Chapo interacted with officers and soldiers, seeking to understand first-hand the working conditions and needs of the forces stationed in the region.
