Mozambique: President of the Republic leads Peace and National Reconciliation Day ceremony

The President of the Republic, Filipe Nyusi, presides over the traditional wreath-laying ceremony at the Praça dos Heróis Moçambicanos (Mozambican Heroes’ Square) in Maputo, in celebration of Peace and National Reconciliation Day.
The event, which marks the 32nd Anniversary of the signing of the General Peace Agreement, will also highlight the awarding of individuals recognized by the head of state for their efforts to honour the achievements of national independence, Mozambican identity and national development.
Also this Friday, the President of the Republic and Commander-in-Chief of the Defence and Security Forces (FDS) will, in a ceremony at the Office of the Presidency of the Republic, receive the salute of the Mozambican Armed Defence Forces (FADM), on the occasion of the celebration of their 60th Anniversary.
