Mozambique: Today UEM awards Doctor Honoris Causa title to Samora Machel

President Filipe Nyusi is on a working visit to Portugal between Friday and Sunday at the invitation of Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa, the presidency announced today in Maputo.
President Nysui and Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa will address the training of special forces for combat in Cabo Delgado, whose European Union (EU) mission has been led by Portugal, reads a statement by the Mozambican Presidency.
Filipe Nyusi will also hold official talks with his Portuguese counterpart, Prime Minister, António Costa, and chair a round table on agribusiness and tourism.
The agenda also includes initiatives in search of “new cooperation opportunities in the sectors of agriculture, tourism and work”, it adds.
The Mozambican head of state will also be guest of honour at the inauguration of the Montebelo Mosteiro de Alcobaça hotel, belonging to the Visabeira group, which owns hotel units in Mozambique.
Nyusi heads to Portugal after a visit to Finland and will be accompanied by minister of Foreign Affairs Verónica Macamo, minister of Agriculture and Rural Development Celso Correia, Minister of Justice, Constitutional and Religious Affairs Helena Kida and minister of Culture and Tourism Eldevina Materula.
The visit takes place two and a half months after António Costa led a Portuguese delegation that travelled to Maputo for the 5th Summit between the two countries, hosted by Filipe Nyusi.
