Mozambique: President dismisses PRM police chief, appoints replacement

President Filipe Nyusi has just announced on his official Facebook page that he “briefly stopped” in Brazzaville, Republic of Congo, on his way back home from his state visit to the Republic of Ghana, where he held a meeting with Dennis Sassou Nguesso.
According to the note, among various subjects, the two Heads of State reviewed the stage of cooperation between our two countries, as well as aspects of the security situation in the continent and in the world”.
“I also presented to President Nguesso the state of play of the fight against terrorism in Mozambique and we reaffirmed our commitment to join efforts to eradicate this evil from the continent and the world,” reads the post.
“Our candidacy for non-permanent member of the Security Council was another matter addressed, for which we have the support of that sister country,” it concludes.
