Mozambique: First ordinary session of the AR begins on March 26

The President of Mozambique, Filipe Nyusi has this Friday arrived in Addis Ababa Ethiopia for the 37th Ordinary Session of the Assembly of Heads of State and Government of the African Union (AU), taking place between Saturday and Sunday, 17 and 18 February.
The AU Assembly is meeting under the theme, “Educate an Africa fit for the 21st Century: Building resilient education systems for increased access to inclusive, lifelong, quality, and relevant learning in Africa”.
The Assembly will to assess the current state of implementation of the decisions taken at the 36th Summit session on various issues relating to the continent’s development, with emphasis on peace, security and strengthening continental integration.
The Summit will also witness the transition of the Chairmanship of the African Union, from Azali Assoumani, President of the Republic of the Union of Comoros, to Mohamed Ould Ghazouani, President of the Islamic Republic of Mauritania.
