Within the framework of governance, and permanently in dialogue with all segments of Mozambican society, the President of the Republic, Filipe Jacinto Nyusi, received yesterday, 6 July 2020, at his working office, former Mozambican Ministers of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation.
The meeting aimed to consult and exchange views on the country’s development and, in particular, on the role of our foreign policy in promoting the well-being of the Mozambican people, now and in the past.
The former heads of Mozambican diplomacy took the opportunity to salute the Head of State for the successes achieved in the direction of the country’s destinations, moving, despite numerous challenges, towards the achievement of the objectives set out in the governance program.
On the occasion, the former Ministers encouraged the President of the Republic to continue to maintain our country’s foreign policy agenda of serving the national interest, seeking more and more friends and partnerships with other nations and international institutions, with emphasis on the SADC countries.
The former foreign ministers thanked the Head of State for the openness and showed themselves willing to contribute with their knowledge and experience to the solution, through diplomacy, of the multiple challenges facing the country.
