Mozambique: PGR gives official another 15 days to submit their lists of assets

President of the Republic Filipe Nyusi, who is currently in Abu Dhabi, yesterday met his counterparts from Angola, Uganda and the United Arab Emirates (João Lourenço, Yoweri Museveni and Shaikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, respectively), with whom he reviewed developments within the framework of bilateral cooperation.
These meetings took place on the sidelines of the Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week, an event at which President Nyusi was one of the guests of his counterpart from the United Arab Emirates.
In the specific case of Uganda, the need for joint commissions in continuation of understandings reached during the President’s visit there was highlighted.

The Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation, Manuel Gonçalves, yesterday afternoon told journalists covering the President’s visit that, with Uganda, environmental conservation and agriculture were in the spotlight. “The joint commissions will serve to assess the level of cooperation and plan other actions within the scope of the relationship between our two countries,” he explained.
On the business agenda, the head of state met businessmen active in the agriculture, tourism and infrastructure sectors, whom he encouraged to visit Mozambique and examine existing potential in terms of natural resources.
According to Notícias newspaper, UAE companies that President Nyusi interacted with include Abu Dhabi Ports, MASDAR, EMAAR and One All One (tourism sector), among others.
Today, the penultimate day of his visit, President Nyusi was to visit an Armed Forces training centre.
