President of the Republic Filipe Nyusi this Monday (18-03) inaugurated a new District of Mocuba Judicial Court building in Zambézia province.
According to a statement from the Presidency of the Republic, the development was built from scratch under the presidential initiative known as the “One District, One Dignified Court Building by 2023” initiative.
The Head of State is accompanied on his mission by the Minister of Justice, Constitutional and Religious Affairs, Helena Mateus Kida, plus staff from the presidency and other state institutions.
The “One District, One Dignified Court Building by 2023” initiative aims to ensure that all district judicial courts have suitable buildings for their operations, either through construction where they do not already exist, or by rehabilitating existing buildings that do not provide conditions adequate to their functions.
The initiative covers 61 districts and is to be implemented in two phases. New constructions will fulfil specific criteria, and the programme also foresees the building of 102 residences for magistrates.
