Mozambique: President dismisses military commanders

President of the Republic Filipe Nyusi on Thursday (March 11) dismissed, in separate dispatches, Ezequiel Isac Muianga from the position of Commander of the Army, and Messias André Niposso from the position of Commander of the Air Force.
In other presidential orders on Thursday the head of state also dismissed Cristóvão Artur Chume from the position of Commander of the Marechal Samora Machel Military Academy; Tiago Alberto Nampele from the position of Deputy-Commander of the same institution; and Francisco Zacarias Mataruca from the position of Deputy-Commander of the Lieutenant General Armando Emílio Guebuza Higher Institute of Defence Studies.
