Mozambique: President pays tribute to Pope Francis at Vatican funeral

The President of the Republic, Daniel Chapo, arrived in Beira city yesterday at the start of a two-day working visit to Sofala province, during which he will visit the city of Beira and the districts of Búzi and Nhamatanda.
In Beira, the President of the Republic this Wednesday officially opens the Marine Biodiversity Conference, aimed at promoting commitment to the preservation of marine and coastal ecosystems.
In the district of Búzi, the head of state will lead the handover ceremony for 840 houses built in the Guara Guara resettlement neighbourhood, as part of the project to build 2,067 resilient homes for families affected by natural disasters.
In Nhamatanda, President Chapo will inaugurate an educational institution and meet local communities, as part of the national effort to promote social well-being and inclusive development.
