Mozambique-Zambia: Ministerial Meeting of the Joint Permanent Commission on Defence and Security

The President of Mozambique, Daniel Francisco Chapo, will undertake a working visit to the People’s Democratic Republic of Algeria from September 3 to 6, 2025.
The visit by the Mozambican Head of State is in response to an invitation from his Algerian counterpart, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, as part of the deepening of friendly and cooperative relations between the two countries and peoples.
During the visit, President Daniel Chapo will hold official talks with his Algerian counterpart to assess the current status of bilateral relations and promote economic and business cooperation.
Prior to the bilateral meeting, the Mozambican Head of State will participate in the 4th Intra-African Trade Fair in Algiers, taking place from September 4th to 10th. organised by the African Export–Import Bank (Afreximbank). The main objective of this fair is to boost trade and investment in Africa.
On this visit, President Daniel Chapo will be accompanied by the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation, Maria Manuela dos Santos Lucas; the Minister of National Defence, Cristóvão Chume; the Minister of Education and Culture, Samaria Filimon Tovela; the Minister of Youth and Sports, Caifadine Manasse; the Secretary of State for Commerce, António Grispos; the Secretary of State for Arts and Culture, Matilde Muocha; the Secretary of State for Tourism, Fredson Bacar; the Ambassador of Mozambique to Algeria, António Eduardo Namburete; and by officials from the Presidency of the Republic and other State institutions.
