Mozambique demands global financial reform

President of the Republic Daniel Chapo will participate, starting tomorrow, in the Ninth Tokyo International Conference on African Development (TICAD) in Yokohama, Japan.
President Chapo’s participation in TICAD comes in response to an invitation from Japanese Prime Minister Shigeru Ishiba.
On the sidelines of the summit, Daniel Chapo will hold meetings with Prime Minister Shigeru Ishiba, government entities, parliamentarians and officials from Japanese companies with interests in Mozambique, as well as with the Mozambican community residing in Japan.
TICAD 9 will be attended by African heads of state and government, representatives of international organizations, and CEOs of Japanese and African companies.
This year’s TICAD is held under the motto “Co-creating Innovative Solutions with Africa”.
The summit, an initiative of the Government of Japan, co-organized by the United Nations, UNDP, the World Bank and the African Union Commission, will take place from August 20 to 22, 2025.
TICAD aims to promote African-led development through international partnerships and the co-creation of innovative solutions.
