Mozambique: President Chapo announces creation of economic recovery fund for businesspeople affected by the protests

The President of the Republic Daniel Chapo has announced the creation of an economic recovery fund for businesspeople affected by violence in the context of post-election demonstrations in Mozambique.
Daniel Chapo says that the executive is currently working with private sector organizations
to identify the companies affected.
Chapo also remarked that the success of these measures would depend on everyone’s
involvement in promoting peace, security, social, economic, social and political harmony.
Daniel Chapo was speaking to the Mozambican press, at the end of his two-day visit to Addis
Ababa for the thirty-eighth Ordinary Summit of the African Union.
