The President of the Republic, Daniel Chapo, is undertaking a three-day working visit to the province of Inhambane, starting today, 15 April 2025.
According to a statement issued by the Presidency , the Head of State will carry out a diverse agenda during his stay, with an emphasis on leading an Extraordinary Session of the Provincial Executive Council, extended to other local government entities, with the aim of strengthening the coordination and effectiveness of decentralised governance.
President Chapo will also inaugurate a building for the operation of provincial public institutions, as part of the ongoing effort to improve public administration and services provided to citizens.
The agenda also includes meetings with Local State Bodies, community leaders, youth representatives, economic agents and civil servants, in an exercise of direct dialogue and listening to local concerns.
The launch ceremony of the “Petrochemical City” Project is also planned in the village of Mavanza, Vilankulo district, a structural initiative to boost industrial development, job creation and boost the economy.
A public rally will also be held.
On this visit, the President of the Republic will be accompanied by the Ministers of the Interior, Paulo Chachine; of State Administration and Public Service, Inocêncio Impissa; of Economy, Basílio Muhate; Minister in the Presidency for Civil Affairs, Ricardo Sengo; and of Youth and Sports, Caifadine Manasse.
